This is what makes Mirth unique:

·      Our tiles are completely customizable.  Whatever design you can think of we can make into a tile!

·      Our tiles are easily installed right over plywood or concrete—no sanding, staining or sealing.  Just glue them down.

 ·      They are pre finished saving on time and money!

·      Our engineered hardwood won’t warp or buckle like typical strip wood flooring.

We are the only company in the world making this type of product.

Here is some basic info:

Our tiles are proudly manufactured in the USA using the highest quality, precision-milled engineered hardwood. We use the finest equipment available and cutting edge technology to ensure a superior quality product that you can feel comfortable knowing will last for many years.

Each tile is 12” x 12” squares (each tile is 1 square foot) ½” thick

They are pre-finished with 10 coats of non-yellowing, UV cured resin urethane

Mirth Tiles are designed using a tongue and groove construction that holds them in place and adds stability.

They must be glued down over most subflooring—concrete or wood

The tiles are pre-finished using a UV cured poly resin that is comparable to the highest quality of any high end engineered wood flooring on the market. If you would like further protection for your floors for very high traffic areas we recommend using Bona Traffic (please see specifics in installation section) which can be applied over your floors for added protection.

Tiles can be screen sanded and refinished multiple times using our recommended product. (please see installation section)

You can replace a single tile or a small section

The tiles come 14 tiles per box—each box weighs 26 lbs

Samples are available online

A minimum order of 1 box or 14 sq. ft is required per order other than samples

It is important to note the entire design CAN be sanded off and the tiles stained and finished like a traditional wood floor in the event of a home sale or change of taste.

 Our Environmental Conscience

--Our tiles use less hard wood than solid hardwood flooring.  We use only a 2.4mm wear-layer of hardwood on the top and bottom of the tile.

--Only hardwood species that are in abundant supply in the US – oak and maple – are used in Mirth Studio tiles.

-- Our UV cured finish emits no VOCs

PLEASE NOTE:

When ordering Mirth Tiles, please keep in mind that because wood is a natural product no two will be exactly alike. We think this adds to the beauty of the floors and gives them character not found in other types of manufactured tiles. Sometimes the variation is more obvious and for this reason we recommend ordering a 5% overage in case some of the tiles do not meet with your approval.

The tiles are designed to be installed with cross grains and due to the tongue and groove construction, this cannot be changed. Depending on the color of the tile it may be more obvious than others. Lighter color tiles show more grain than the darker colors.

We go to great lengths to send only tiles that meet our high standards but it is important to understand that wood does sometime have flaws. Sometimes the edges are rougher than others but that is because the nature of wood and not considered a defect. If you feel you have received a defective tile, please contact immediately and we will send out a replacement.
